1960년대 후반부터 현재까지 30년 이상 초지일관의 자세로

가장 순수한 로큰롤에 수절한 밥 시거(Bob Seger)는 미국 대중 음악을 든든하게 받쳐 준 대들보이다.

 

그의 음악적인 뿌리는 로큰롤, 블루스, 컨트리, 포크, 컨트리 같은 장르가 기둥을 이루고 있으며

밥 딜런(BobDylan), CCR, 척 베리(Chuck Berry) 같은 대가들을 위시해 미국 음악의 세례를 받은 비틀즈(Beatles),

롤링 스톤스(Rolling Stones) 같은 영국 뮤지션들로부터 영향을 받았다.

 

그렇기 때문에 이 로큰롤러의 음악은 존 멜란캠프(John Mellencamp), 톰 페티(Tom Petty),

브루스 스프링스틴(Bruce Springsteen), 더 밴드(The Band)처럼

짙은 흙 냄새를 미덕으로 한다.

라디오에서는 나지막히 노래가 흘러나오고
